Alteryx hired Dean Darwin as the new revenue director to lead their go-to-market plan.
Darwin will lead the global marketing organization. This includes global sales, channels, and all industry-specific go-to-market initiatives.
In addition to leading the go-to-market plan, he will lead Alteryx’s next phase of growth, leveraging the company’s strategic alliance partners. These include global systems integrators, technology partners, and cloud providers.
Alteryx is a provider of Analytical Process Automation (APA) software.
“I am honored to join a leading company in analytics, data science, and integrated process automation, a category we call Analytical Process Automation, or APA,” said Darwin. “Organizations around the world rely on Alteryx to accelerate digital transformation, converge analytics into a unified automation platform, and accelerate the delivery of business results. I look forward to playing a pivotal role in Alteryx’s continued growth and bringing my experience to this high-caliber team, our customers in 90 countries and our channel partners around the world.
Experience with Palo Alto networks
Darwin was previously senior vice president and general manager of Palo Alto Networks. He was responsible for the creation and management of the Prisma business unit. It is a strategic cloud-driven initiative and a growth engine for the company.
Prior to Palo Alto Networks, Darwin held several leadership roles at F5 Networks. He has led both marketing and channel organizations that have contributed to significant revenue growth during his tenure.
“I am delighted to welcome Dean to the Alteryx leadership team,” said Mark Anderson, CEO of Alteryx. “His proven track record leading and scaling world-class global GTM organizations, coupled with building high-growth cloud businesses, is impressive. Dean brings a wealth of experience relevant to our strategic growth priorities, and I look forward to working with him as we continue to serve our clients and partners globally.
Scott Jones, former president and chief revenue officer, is leaving Alteryx to pursue outside opportunities. He will transfer his responsibilities to Darwin this month.
